1/8th of the way along

Hour 3 Update

Reading Location:Now on the couch in my living room; but have also read in the car and at the table at the Old West Cafe

Currently Reading: Bring It On by Laura Anne Gilman

Total Pages read so far: 70

Total Time spent reading so far: 120 minutes

Other Readers I have visited: Azuki, a BookCrossing and BookObssessed pal who lives in Miami

Mini-challenges completed: Just the Introduction

Finished Books: none so far

Comments:It took me almost 1/2 hour at the beginning of Hour 2 to update my blog and take care of the "stuff" I needed to do to get back to reading. (Ummm... get dressed for the day, etc.) At 8:30, hubby and I headed out to the Old West Cafe for breakfast. I managed to spend *most* of the time reading, though I did take time to be pleasant with Kelsey when she took my order and brought my food. Back home at 9:30, I found a fresh Diet Coke to sip on, then checked in at the Read-a-Thon home page to see what new mini-challenges had been posted. After fighting a little bit with the new interface at Blogger, I finally asked it to revert to the old interface and then spent a few minutes explaining to the kids at Google why the new interface was not attractive/useful to me.

  1. Ha! Lucky we have husbands who tolerate our reading while we are out to eat! I'll be heading our to lunch in a while and I'm not too sure hubby-dog will be happy if I read at the table, I know he does not mind me reading in the car at least! Last read-a-thon our lunch together was going for take-out.

  3. I don't think I could exist if I couldn't read in the car. (Well, when someone else is driving, that is.) I always read during meals, so Hubby isn't upset by it. He has *no* ability to multi-task, so he eats in silence. Rather than be bored watching him eat, I read. We converse while waiting for the meal to be served and so he doesn't get totally ignored!
