It's hard to believe, but 2024's reading activities begin on the stroke of midnight on New Year's Day! Yes, the 39th Bout of Books read-a-thon runs from Monday, 1 January through 7 January. For those of you aren't avid readers and haven't participated in read-a-thons, here's an explanation of the Bout of Books read-a-thon:
The Bout of Books readathon is organized by Amanda Shofner and Kelly Rubidoux Apple. It’s a weeklong readathon that begins 12:01am Monday, January 1st and runs through Sunday, January 7th in YOUR time zone. Bout of Books is low-pressure. There are reading sprints, daily Discord questions, and exclusive Instagram challenges, but they’re all completely optional.
