It's time for the Mid-Event Survey:
- What are you reading right now?
I'm reading Corpse Pose by Diana Killian - How many books have you read so far?
I've finished one book and the current book is my second - What book are you most looking forward to for the second half of the Read-a-thon?
Well, I was thinking I'd pick up another cozy mystery, but if Candy gifts me a copy of The Nestorian Alliance by Michael Watson, then I'll definitely read it right away - Did you have to make any special arrangements to free up your whole day?
Not very special ... I just announced to everyone that my day was fully booked. - Have you had many interruptions? How did you deal with those?
The only interruptions were ones that I took—like brushing my teeth! - What surprises you most about the Read-a-thon, so far?
Well, this is the first time that I've been getting notifications from Facebook and Twitter on my phone. It's a bit surprising how quickly the "ping" from my phone will get my attention. - Do you have any suggestions for how to improve the Read-a-thon next year?
I'd love to see the start time shuffled up. For two years, it has started at 7am in my time zone which means that the end of Read-a-Thon takes place in the wee hours of the morning. I think if it started at midnight my time, I'd have less problem with falling asleep near the end. - What would you do differently, as a Reader or a Cheerleader, if you were to do this again next year?
I think I've got the role of Reader down pat! I can't think of any significant changes I'd make. - Are you getting tired yet?
Not yet. Heading out to supper soon and then will make sure I have some snacks to help me stay awake after the hubby goes to bed. - Do you have any tips for other Readers or Cheerleaders, something you think is working well for you that others may not have discovered?
I don't think I have any tips that haven't been made before. I built a template for my blog posts which has meant that I could make frequent updates without taking too much time away from reading.
