Comments: I was able to spend almost an hour reading over the last 2 hours of the Read-a-Thon. I'm getting close to finishing The Ruthless Realtor Murders and I have several good books to choose from for my next read. I'm sitting here with Baby Aiden asleep in my arms. Makes for real cozy reading, but a bit more complicated to update my blog.
Mid-Event Survey:
- What are you reading right now?
I'm still reading The Ruthless Realtor Murders, but I'm nearing the end. Just about 30 more pages, I'd guess. - How many books have you read so far?
Although I finished one book first thing this morning, I've only read this one book so far. - What book are you most looking forward to for the second half of the Read-a-thon?
It's a toss-up between Red-Headed Stepchild or Better Read than Dead. - Did you have to make any special arrangements to free up your whole day?
I didn't free up the whole day. I debated whether to participate at all, but since I had so much fun last October, I decided "what the hay". - Have you had many interruptions? How did you deal with those?
Yeah. Lots of interruptions. But I knew that was going to be the case during the day. Once Baby Aiden is down for the night, I expect to get a lot of reading done throughout the wee-hours of the morning. - What surprises you most about the Read-a-thon, so far?
Fortunately, the only surprise was a very pleasant one when my blog was selected as a featured sited for the 3rd hour of the Read-a-Thon. - Do you have any suggestions for how to improve the Read-a-thon next year?
I suppose you could schedule it for a weekend when I don't have a new grandbaby due! - What would you do differently, as a Reader or a Cheerleader, if you were to do this again next year?
I'm going to apply the lessons learned from the last Read-a-Thon and this one. In particular I'm going to have everything ready—particularly posting templates—well before the start time. - Are you getting tired yet?
Nope. Not tired. - Do you have any tips for other Readers or Cheerleaders, something you think is working well for you that others may not have discovered?
Having a posting template is reducing the amount of time I have had to spend typing up my blog entries. I can't think of any other suggestions.
You're doing great! The template is a great idea.
ReplyDeleteHappy reading!
