Comments: I was able to spend almost an hour reading over the last 2 hours of the Read-a-Thon. I'm getting close to finishing The Ruthless Realtor Murders and I have several good books to choose from for my next read. I'm sitting here with Baby Aiden asleep in my arms. Makes for real cozy reading, but a bit more complicated to update my blog.

Mid-Event Survey:

  1. What are you reading right now?
I'm still reading The Ruthless Realtor Murders, but I'm nearing the end. Just about 30 more pages, I'd guess.
  2. How many books have you read so far?
Although I finished one book first thing this morning, I've only read this one book so far.
  3. What book are you most looking forward to for the second half of the Read-a-thon?
It's a toss-up between Red-Headed Stepchild or Better Read than Dead.
  4. Did you have to make any special arrangements to free up your whole day?
I didn't free up the whole day. I debated whether to participate at all, but since I had so much fun last October, I decided "what the hay".
  5. Have you had many interruptions? How did you deal with those?
Yeah. Lots of interruptions. But I knew that was going to be the case during the day. Once Baby Aiden is down for the night, I expect to get a lot of reading done throughout the wee-hours of the morning.
  6. What surprises you most about the Read-a-thon, so far?
Fortunately, the only surprise was a very pleasant one when my blog was selected as a featured sited for the 3rd hour of the Read-a-Thon.
  7. Do you have any suggestions for how to improve the Read-a-thon next year?
I suppose you could schedule it for a weekend when I don't have a new grandbaby due!
  8. What would you do differently, as a Reader or a Cheerleader, if you were to do this again next year?
I'm going to apply the lessons learned from the last Read-a-Thon and this one. In particular I'm going to have everything ready—particularly posting templates—well before the start time.
  9. Are you getting tired yet?
        Nope. Not tired.
  10. Do you have any tips for other Readers or Cheerleaders, something you think is working well for you that others may not have discovered?
Having a posting template is reducing the amount of time I have had to spend typing up my blog entries. I can't think of any other suggestions.
