I continue to exercise self-control when it comes to purchasing books, but I can't say the same for borrowing books from the library. This week I checked out three electronic books from two different libraries.
From my local library's subscription to Freading, I chose two fantasy novels by Licia Troisi. From her Chronicles of the Overworld, the first two books are Nihal of the Land of the Wind and Sennar's Mission. Books from Freading are only available in ePub and/or PDF formats, so these two ePub books are on my BeBook reader.
I also have a card from a library in a nearby town which allows me to check out books through their subscription to Overdrive. I had placed The Undead Pool on reserve and the book finally became available this week. This is the 12th and next-to-last book in Kim Harrison's paranormal series featuring Rachel Morgan. The last book was released the first week in September, and although I'm quite eager to read both of these books, I'm also thinking I would rather pace myself since there won't be any more in the series.
So how about you? Did you get any new books this week? You're invited to join the fun at Stacking the Shelves. According to the reviewers at Tynga's Reviews who host the meme:
Stacking The Shelves is all about sharing the books you are adding to your shelves, may it be physical or virtual. This means you can include books you buy in physical store or online, books you borrow from friends or the library, review books, gifts and of course ebooks!
I've heard of them but haven't really paid much attention to them so I'll have to check them out. :) Happy reading!
