I can hardly believe it, but the 9th Bout of Books read-a-thon starts on Monday. This is the sixth time that I've participated in Bout of Books—the last one was Bout of Books 8.0 in August of 2013.
As usual, in addition to reading and documenting what I'm reading, I'm going to enjoy visiting a number of blogs to see what other people are reading. One distinction of Bout of Books is the heavy use of Twitter to build the community. If you're interested in following tweets, search for or track hashtag #boutofbooks.
What remains is to sign up on the Bout of Books web site and then set some goals for the week-long event.
The Bout of Books read-a-thon is organized by Amanda @ On a Book Bender and Kelly @ Reading the Paranormal. It is a week long read-a-thon that begins 12:01am Monday, January 6th and runs through Sunday, January 12th in whatever time zone you are in. Bout of Books is low-pressure, and the only reading competition is between you and your usual number of books read in a week. There are challenges, giveaways, and a grand prize, but all of these are completely optional.
