Wow! I found a book by Sarah Zettel that I hadn't read, and I'm entranced. It's a fascinating story, and I'm tearing through it very fast.

Kingdom of Cages, by Sarah Zettel
Logging a few books
Gee -- let's see. Not only did I finish A Plague of Angels, I also finished Stranger in Paradise. It was very good, just required me to be in the right mood to read it. Turns out that it is the first in a series, so I guess I'll look up other books in the series and get them into my reading stack.

Reading on the Road
Finished A Plague of Angels today. It was very good and the reviewers at Amazon.com were wrong. [grin] I registered the book at BookCrossing.com and plan to release it here at the SHARE conference in San Francisco. Since all the SHARE folks are computer users, there's a higher probability of seeing a "successful release".
All the other books that I have, including Stranger in Paradise are in Steven's van, so I guess I'll just have to wait until he gets here to San Francisco to do any pleasure reading. Of course, I've got plenty of reading to do for my courses this next term, so I'm not hurting for something to be doing.

A Plague of Angels, by Sheri S. Tepper
You might have noticed that I don't read one book at a time. It's what I've always done. Actually, I was having trouble getting fully engaged with Gouge's Stranger in Paradise. So, I grabbed A Plague of Angels by Sheri S. Tepper to read in the car between Texas and Alabama. I'm about 100 pages in. Problem is that I read the reviews at Amazon.com, and now I'm wondering if I, too, will be disappointed by the ending. Oh well, I'll find out soon.

Introduction
I should have created an introductory post to kick this thing off, but I was so eager to try out the BookPost Bookmarklet that I simply threw my newest Blog online. So -- here's a bit of clarification both for myself and anyone who happens to stumble upon it.
This weblog will contain mundane entries telling what I'm reading. It might contain more cogent entries discussing the books. Who knows? Weblogs evolve or die.

Stranger in Paradise, by Eileen Goudge
I just started reading Stranger in Paradise by Eileen Goudge. Mom dropped it off last week and said it was pretty good. This is one of the 20 or so books going with me in the car on our 4-week trip. I've already registered it at BookCrossing and I'll drop it off somewhere along our route.
